Currently based in the CBD fringe, our award-winning business services our valued clients to an exceptional standard in a range of lending products - from residential mortgages to asset finance, commercial lending, construction and development loans, and mezzanine finance.

About the role

Join a growing business at (near) the ground level! 

You will be entrusted as a day to day point of contact for our valued clients, lenders and service providers. 

You will be responsible for overseeing many critical aspects of our entire business, including: loan processing, document collection and preparation, engaging and overseeing third-party services providers (lawyers, accountants, settlements officers), liaising with customers and banks regarding loan scenarios, maintaining lending policy and compliance policies, creating new business processes, interest rates, electronic document storage, redacting private information, performing regular customer database reviews, and all aspects of loan applications.

This is a full-time role based on 40 hours per week; however, if you are the right fit, we are genuinely seeking a permanent leader within our business to take responsibility for our finance operations moving forward - and possibly to oversee any future staff as we expand.

Skills and experience

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Highly level of proficiency preferred with the PODIUM platform from  Other CRM systems' experience is a bonus.
  • Minimum three years experience in loan writing, broker support and/or credit management.  We are looking for proven stability of employment and strong chemistry with this role.
  • Ability to supervise a loan application over the entire life cycle; including, demonstrating a proven understanding of ancillary documents - such as s32 and s27, conveyancing and settlements, credit checks, analysing living expenses and income, understanding the various corporate and trust structures.
  • Excellent understanding of NCCP, AML, KYC, Privacy and other necessary compliance.
  • Demonstrated Project Management, Time Management and Prioritisation Skills are necessary to perform your duties.
  • Proven dedication to a high standard of client outcomes and customer service satisfaction.  Please provide references or testimonials if you have them, or elaborate on your experience with customer service and account management, preferably in a lending context.
  • Strong English-language skills, financial literacy and IT troubleshooting skills.
  • Impeccable listening, note-taking skills and accuracy.
  • High level Excel, Word, Outlook skills. Ability to work independently with Powerpoint, access and other Office Applications is a bonus.
