Job Description

A successful mortgage broking business in Ulladulla is seeking an experienced loan administrator to join their team. We are a fast paced, award winning business and are looking for someone with experience to join our growing team.

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for handling customer’s application from submission to lodgement ensuring all aspects of their applications are handled with care. You will be working as the right hand person to the General Manager assisting in all aspects of the application process.

About you 

  • You’re self-motivated and driven, you like challenges and you like to learn new things and suggest process improvements
  • You have excellent business writing skills, you’re proficient with MS Office, and in particular, advanced Excel skills
  • You’ve a good working knowledge of how the mortgage and finance application process works
  • You’re able to prioritise your time and you stay cool under pressure
  • Ideally, you will have experience in banking or lending, and prior roles within back or middle office. 


About the role 

Your primary responsibility will be to support our General Manager and Head Broker in managing loan files through the full life of the loan. You will be responsible for a wide variety of operational tasks: 

  • Prepare loans for settlement
    • Assisting in the documentation of loan terms
    • Examination of loan contracts for accuracy
    • Coordinate the flow of information between solicitors, brokers, valuers and custodians
  • Loan management
    • Maintain the loan management system during the lifecycle of the loan including processing of interest, drawdowns and repayments on loan facilities
    • Management of account exception reporting
    • Problem solving of issues relating to transactions and loan accounts post settlement
    • Reporting of loan positions to the client, borrowers and lenders
  • Discharge management
    • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure loans are reviewed and repaid in a timely and efficient manner
    • Assist the Origination team with loan restructuring
  • Participate in specific system and process improvements projects as required by the business
