Real Estate Finance Attorney

Orion Placement invites a Real Estate Finance Attorney to join a sophisticated lender-focused practice in New York or Orange County. The role is on-site, with ownership of deal work from structuring through closing, and a focus on complex construction, bridge, and permanent loan transactions. The successful candidate will draft and negotiate mortgage loan documents, manage due diligence, and coordinate closely with clients and internal teams to move matters forward in a fast-paced, high-caliber environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent lenders in sophisticated real estate finance deals, including construction, bridge, and permanent loans
• Draft, review, and negotiate mortgage loan documents and related transaction materials
• Lead real estate and entity due diligence in support of financing matters
• Collaborate with clients and internal teammates to advance transactions from structuring through closing
• Own significant workstreams and drive deals forward with meticulous attention to detail
• Support advanced commercial lending matters in a fast-paced, high-level practice
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and colleagues throughout each transaction

Qualifications

• 4+ years of lender-side real estate finance experience
• Strong mortgage loan document drafting and negotiation skills
• Active CA or NY Bar admission in good standing
• NY bar license (Required)
• Lender-side RE finance: 3 years (Required)
• Top academic credentials
• Real estate and entity due diligence experience
• Strong writing, analytical, and organizational abilities

Compensation

Salary range of USD 390,000 to 420,000 per year
