Support financial decision-making for the H-53 variants program at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD (onsite). This Financial Analyst role combines quantitative analysis with hands-on budget tracking to help keep program funding aligned and execution reporting accurate.
Responsibilities
- Perform data-driven quantitative analyses of financial information, asset structures, and funding trends impacting investment and procurement activities within the acquisition office.
- Develop, monitor, and manage detailed program spend plans, comparing target milestones against real-world commitments, obligations, and expenditures.
- Evaluate and track multiple Navy appropriation types, including APN, RDT&E, and O&M, to maintain regulatory compliance and optimize funding alignment.
- Use defense enterprise systems to input, extract, and reconcile financial data, converting raw metrics into actionable status updates for team leadership.
- Review accounting reports for completeness, identify variances or execution anomalies, and support senior analysts with resource allocation forecasting.
Requirements
- DoD Secret Security Clearance required to access the airfield and military installation.
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) from an accredited institution.
- 3 to 10 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, budget tracking, or data-driven asset management performing the functional duties listed above.
- Hands-on proficiency using Navy ERP (NERP) for financial tracking and reporting.
- Working knowledge of diverse DoN Appropriation Types and federal procurement cycles.
- Experience building and adjusting defensive program Spend Plans.
- Strong quantitative and analytical reasoning, intermediate-to-advanced Microsoft Excel, and precise professional communication skills.
