Job Description

The Financial Advisor role at Bruton Chisnell Advisors focuses on deepening client relationships while contributing to firm growth through holistic planning and proactive advisory support. Working onsite in Downingtown, PA, the position partners with senior advisors to build trusted relationships and deliver tailored financial plans for a diverse client base.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior advisors to craft and implement tailored financial plans and investment strategies aligned with each client’s objectives.
  • Act as primary or co-advisor for assigned clients, delivering ongoing financial planning, investment guidance, and proactive relationship management.
  • Design, implement, and monitor comprehensive financial plans that reflect client goals, values, and life stages.
  • Lead and participate in client review meetings, including preparation, presentations, and follow-up; manage client inquiries and proactively reach out when needed.
  • Track portfolios, planning assumptions, and progress toward goals; propose adjustments when warranted.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners across tax, estate planning, insurance, and retirement plan consulting to provide holistic guidance.
  • Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and communications within CRM, eMoney, and other planning systems.
  • Collaborate with operations and service teams to ensure a seamless, high-touch client experience.
  • Stay informed on market trends, regulatory updates, and industry best practices impacting financial planning and investment strategies.
  • Support process-improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and consistency across the advisory practice.
  • Ensure all client interactions, recommendations, and documentation comply with fiduciary, regulatory, and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in financial advisory, private client services, or a closely related financial services role.
  • CFP designation or a firm-supported plan to pursue it is preferred.
  • Active FINRA registrations such as Series 6, 7, and 63/65/66 are preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to goals-based financial planning and fiduciary client service.
  • Strong dedication to delivering superior client service across diverse individuals and households.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client relationships, projects, and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities with the capacity to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with financial planning tools such as eMoney and CRM systems.
