Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Bank Financial Advisor (LO) in Wealth and Investment Management as part of Wells Fargo Advisors. Based in Des Moines, IA (onsite), this role participates in a training program and supports client conversations focused on basic or tactical goals and risk tolerance, including referrals for customers interested in dwelling secured products.
Role & Training Focus
In the Financial Advisory - Bank function, the Associate Bank Financial Advisor role supports meeting personal, professional, and organizational client service and financial goals through participation in the Wells Fargo Advisors training program.
Client Review and Advice Support
- Review basic or tactical client goals and risk tolerance, assess the investment profile, and evaluate client financial needs related to lower risk tasks and deliverables with narrower impact.
- For customers interested in a dwelling secured product, perform needs assessment and refer those customers to a SAFE team member.
- Assist customers without taking an application and without offering or negotiating dwelling secured transaction terms.
Loan Originator (LO) Requirements
Individuals in an LO position must meet the requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in the job expectations, including compliance with related Wells Fargo policies and required financial, character, and fitness standards.
Requirements
- 6+ months of Customer Service, Sales, Relationship Building experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, and/or education.
- Successful completion of the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam or an equivalent.
- LO positions must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies, including financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards.
- A current credit report will be used to assess financial responsibility and credit fitness; however, a credit score is not included in the evaluation.
- Ongoing regulatory requirements apply, including additional screening if necessary.
- US only: Obtain and/or maintain appropriate FINRA license(s) for ongoing employment.
- Complete FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) plus state Variable, Life and Health insurance licenses within either a 90 or 180-day period after commencement, depending on the number of licenses needed if not available to transfer upon hire.
- Comply with state law registration and licensing requirements.
- Individuals subject to statutory disqualification are not eligible to be associated with a FINRA-registered broker-dealer.
- Subject to FINRA background screening; candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire.
- Meet ongoing regulatory obligations, including periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents.
- For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the SIE exam co-requisite is required.
- Specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply.
- Compliance with FINRA rules regarding statutory disqualification.
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
