Job Description

PNC Wealth Management is seeking a Financial Advisor to be based in San Diego, CA, working from a bank branch and managing an assigned book of business. The role blends client consulting, financial planning, and relationship-focused business development within a collaborative branch network.

Role Overview

Financial Advisors are based within a bank branch and operate inside a highly collaborative circuit of branches. In this position, you will execute an advice and planning approach designed to help clients pursue savings, investing, and retirement goals. You will also collaborate closely with branch partners, including roles connected through PNC’s referral program and team-based culture that supports advisor success.

The company provides training, administrative support, and technology intended to support career development, with an in-office working environment that emphasizes a supportive culture.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients on investment and insurance strategies, including the development of financial plans.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor client investment and insurance strategies, including recommending changes as needed.
  • Determine and support appropriate products aligned to client strategy and financial needs.
  • Provide sound financial recommendations and guidance and establish individualized financial plans based on client objectives.
  • Grow and retain an investment and insurance book of business.
  • Own the client experience by efficiently handling sales and service, identifying and executing opportunities, and making referrals to internal business partners as appropriate.
  • Acquire, expand, and maintain client relationships through business development and client networking.
  • Increase client loyalty and share of wallet through an exceptional client experience.
  • Apply product and procedural knowledge to solve client problems appropriately and efficiently.
  • Coach and educate branch staff and internal business partners to identify investment opportunities.
  • Drive investment education and visibility among branch staff.
  • In partnership with the branch manager and/or investment sales associate, lead branch actions aimed at achieving investment results.
  • Maintain regular, effective communication with internal and external partners to build relationships that support referral activity.
  • Meet with the branch manager and other internal partners to communicate and review business results and pipeline management.
  • Meet service level agreements on lead and referral follow up.
  • Adhere to applicable laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience (or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience).
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63, 65) required.
  • Life and Health Insurance required.
  • Spanish speaking preferred.

The role also requires demonstrated competencies including client prospecting and relationship building, customer engagement, financial analysis and financial modeling, relationship management, public speaking, and sales tasks and activities, along with the ability to coach others and manage multiple priorities.

Compensation

Base Salary: USD 63,000 to 105,000 per yearly.

This role is incentive eligible, with incentive payment based on company, business, and/or individual performance.

Work Location

San Diego, CA (onsite).
