Financial Planner - Career Changer Opportunity

Northwestern Mutual (Princeton District) is seeking a career-changer ready to help individuals and businesses move toward their financial goals through personalized insurance solutions and financial planning. In this onsite role in Princeton, you will build long-term client relationships, create and maintain financial plans, and stay supported through training, mentorship, and licensing guidance.

You will join a team focused on helping policyholders achieve financial security, with the structure and resources of a well-established mutual company.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand their financial goals, aspirations, and concerns.
• Design comprehensive financial plans that can include investments, insurance, and retirement strategies.
• Review and monitor client plans over time, providing updates and adjusting strategies as circumstances change.
• Grow and maintain a client network through referrals, community involvement, and professional associations.

What You’ll Need

• A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Previous experience in financial services, insurance, or business development is beneficial but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, analytical thinking, and an ability to build trust and rapport.
• Ability to obtain required licenses, including Series 6, 63, and applicable state insurance licenses (training and sponsorship available).

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: USD 65,000 - 85,000 per year.
