Financial Reporting Accountant

New Orleans, LA (onsite)

This Financial Reporting Accountant role with CFS supports an established corporate accounting and financial reporting team. You will help deliver accurate, timely, and compliant internal and external reporting, including quarterly financial statements and equity-related accounting.

Compensation: Up to $100,000 base. This is a great fit for a detail-oriented accountant with 5+ years of progressive experience and strong U.S. GAAP financial statement preparation skills.

What you’ll do

• Prepare internal and external financial reporting packages
• Assist with preparation of quarterly financial statements and associated reporting
• Support equity accounting and transactions, including stock options and stock repurchases
• Create supporting schedules, reconciliations, and financial statement documentation
• Partner with accounting leadership throughout the quarter-end and year-end close/reporting process
• Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable accounting standards
• Help with audit requests by preparing supporting documentation
• Adapt to changing priorities and take ownership of reporting responsibilities in a collaborative team

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• Strong financial reporting experience within industry
• Equity transactions/accounting experience strongly preferred
• Prior public accounting experience (national or Big 4 preferred) is a plus
• CPA preferred, but not required
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
• Flexible and comfortable in a deadline-driven environment

Compensation

Salary: Up to $100K base.
