Hybrid flexibility and a role at the center of Applegreen’s growth: this Financial Analyst position supports reporting, planning, forecasting, and analytics for the Commercial, Operations, IT, and Facilities teams within the US FP&A organization. You’ll work from the Glen Rock, NJ office 3 days per week and remotely 2 days per week, delivering timely, accurate financial insights that help drive continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
The Financial Analyst role is part of the US FP&A team based in Glen Rock, NJ, and is focused on producing high-quality financial information while meeting reporting requirements and deadlines. Key responsibilities include working across site, brand, and account level reporting, building decision-support models, and partnering with business stakeholders to analyze performance and direct-site cost details.
- Support budget and forecast preparation, including variance analysis
- Translate summarized budgets into site-level, brand-level, and account-level data using advanced allocation methods such as seasonality curves and week-over-week growth trends
- Create complex financial models to support Commercial, Operations, and Facility projects
- Develop and present visual, insight-driven presentations that improve storytelling and decision-making
- Leverage advanced Excel reporting and optimized Power BI capabilities to synthesize large datasets
- Analyze financial data to identify key business performance drivers using Smartview and Oracle EPM
- Deliver monthly leadership presentations with financial reporting, commentary, and variance analysis
- Assist Head Office leadership with reporting and analysis of monthly expenses and variances
- Partner with Finance Business Managers and the Head of Transformation to analyze direct site costs, highlight cost outliers, and surface savings opportunities
- Manage statistical account loads into ERP systems (PDI/EPM) and labor system data loads into UKG, including data validation
- Build financial models for capital projects requesting Investment Committee approval, including return analysis (ROCE, Payback) and post-mortem analysis
- Provide analytical support for initiatives that drive business improvements and support ad hoc projects
What You Bring
- BS/BA degree
- 2 to 3 years FP&A experience in a financial analyst role or similar
- Advanced ability to develop complex financial models
- Strong analytical skills to interpret, challenge, and interrogate financial data and systems
- High/Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Functions, Pivot Tables), Power BI, Smartview, and Oracle EPM
- Strong capability to create PowerPoint presentations with clear visuals tied to key performance indicators
