Job Description

Overview

Join EON, Inc., an employee-owned organization, as a Finance and Accounting Specialist in New Ulm, Minnesota. This role focuses on accurate financial recordkeeping and supporting independence for those we serve. Location and Schedule

Location: New Ulm, MN 56073. Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility may be required based on finance department needs.

What you will bring to our team

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or associate’s degree and related experience
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Ability to solve problems and apply critical thinking skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must not be disqualified by appropriate criminal background studies
Meet the physical requirements as outlined in the physical assessment
Able to read and write in English

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Accounting ERP Software, preferably NetSuite
Flexibility, assertiveness, strong organization skills, attention to detail

Responsibilities

Ensure accurate and timely financial recordkeeping
Provide guidance and support to staff, assist with financial reporting and analysis, and help maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulations
Create and maintain accounting records, including trial balance, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statement reports
Assist the Director of Finance with quarterly, annual and special projects
Assist as backup to core responsibilities of Accounting Generalists as needed
Complete other duties as assigned
