Job Description

Financial Analyst role in Google’s Planning and Analysis (FP&A) organization, focused on Compute Infrastructure and Compute Engine financial performance.

Responsibilities

Own Profit and Loss (P&L) for the Compute Engine product portfolio and deliver in-depth analysis to improve financial performance.
Drive product financial planning through monthly and quarterly gross margin reviews and ongoing financial forecasting.
Partner with Product Management and Finance to support business decisions, including product roadmap prioritization, internal and external pricing, and optimizing customer discounts.
Support Go-To-Market initiatives and New Product Introductions (NPI) by performing unit economics analyses and P&L impact assessments with cross-functional teams.
Coordinate Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and Operating Expenditure (OpEx) investments with demand, working with Capacity and Product Finance to enable efficient resource allocations.
Lead projects that transform planning, tracking, and control processes, using modeling and performance/profitability analysis to develop executive-level recommendations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function.
Experience running full-cycle FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling in a multinational company environment.
SQL experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in business strategy and cloud strategy.
Experience with communication strategy and presenting financial insights.
Knowledge of the Cloud and Software industry, including different roles and incentives.
