Financial Analyst, Compute Infrastructure Business

Financial Analyst role in Google’s Planning and Analysis (FP&A) organization, focused on Compute Infrastructure and Compute Engine financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Own Profit and Loss (P&L) for the Compute Engine product portfolio and deliver in-depth analysis to improve financial performance.
• Drive product financial planning through monthly and quarterly gross margin reviews and ongoing financial forecasting.
• Partner with Product Management and Finance to support business decisions, including product roadmap prioritization, internal and external pricing, and optimizing customer discounts.
• Support Go-To-Market initiatives and New Product Introductions (NPI) by performing unit economics analyses and P&L impact assessments with cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and Operating Expenditure (OpEx) investments with demand, working with Capacity and Product Finance to enable efficient resource allocations.
• Lead projects that transform planning, tracking, and control processes, using modeling and performance/profitability analysis to develop executive-level recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function.
• Experience running full-cycle FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling in a multinational company environment.
• SQL experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in business strategy and cloud strategy.
• Experience with communication strategy and presenting financial insights.
• Knowledge of the Cloud and Software industry, including different roles and incentives.
