AI Engineer - GenAI / Agentic Systems - Financial Services

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with banking and financial services stakeholders to identify the problem statement and participate in or lead solution design, including mapping the day in the life of an advisor and identifying critical manual flows for potential solutions.
• Serve as Product Manager or Product Owner, working with architects and business SMEs to develop business requirements and AI solutions.
• Design and implement GenAI solutions using LLMs such as Claude and OpenAI to address objectives like improving advisor productivity and enhancing operations in Corporate Actions, Portfolio Management, AML/KYC processes.
• Construct agent-based workflows with frameworks including LangChain and Google ADK or comparable tools.
• Develop RAG pipelines, semantic search, and knowledge-driven applications.
• Apply prompt engineering, establish evaluation frameworks, and implement guardrails.
• Test and validate final solutions to ensure alignment with business problems and optimize AI models and pipelines.
• Coordinate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver the program.

Requirements

• Experience in the financial services industry (capital markets or banking) with familiarity across front, middle, and back office operations or processes.
• Understanding of the end-to-end value chain (wealth management, asset management, investment banking, etc.).
• Experience defining AI-related KPIs and building a business case for AI adoption.
• Proficiency in Python-based AI/ML development.
• Solid understanding of LLMs and GenAI architectures.
• Prompt engineering and chaining techniques.
• Data processing and pipeline development.
• Experience with Graph RAG and hands-on use of LangChain or similar frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Claude, OpenAI, or other LLM APIs in Graph RAG contexts.
• Working knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search.
• Working knowledge of API integrations and microservices.
