Associate Financial Advisor

Wells Fargo is hiring an Associate Financial Advisor (Loan Originator/LO) for Wealth and Investment Management within Wells Fargo Advisors in Campbell, CA (onsite).

Responsibilities

• Participate in a Wells Fargo Advisors training program focused on client service and financial goal outcomes within the Financial Advisory - Bank function
• Review client basic or tactical goals and risk tolerance to understand the client’s investment profile and needs
• Support lower risk tasks and deliverables with narrower impact based on client financial needs
• Identify customers interested in a dwelling secured product and refer them to a SAFE team member
• Assist customers without taking an application and without offering or negotiating terms for dwelling secured transactions

Requirements

• 6+ months of Customer Service, Sales, Relationship Building experience, or equivalent demonstrated via one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education
• Successful completion of the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam or an equivalent exam

Desired Qualifications

• FINRA registration including Series 7 and 66 (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
• State Variable, Life and Health insurance licenses
• Financial services experience
• Client services experience and experience developing and managing client relationships
• Sales or sales support experience
• BS/BA degree or higher

LO and Regulatory/Compliance Expectations

• LO positions must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies
• LO qualification includes meeting standards for financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background
• A current credit report will be used to assess financial responsibility and credit fitness (credit score not included in evaluation)
• Ongoing regulatory requirements include additional screening if necessary
• US only: appropriate FINRA licenses required for ongoing employment
• FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) exams, or equivalent, plus state Variable, Life and Health insurance licenses must be completed within a 90 or 180-day time period after commencement of employment (based on the number of licenses needed if not immediately available for transfer upon hire)
• FINRA recognized equivalents are accepted
• Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory
• In addition to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply
• Enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards apply
• Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance
• For certain FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the SIE co-requisite is required
• Subject to FINRA background screening; candidates must complete and pass background check prior to hire
• Individuals subject to statutory disqualification are not eligible to be associated with a FINRA-registered broker-dealer
• Ongoing regulatory obligations include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents
• Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities and/or personal investing; affected employees are expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and follow applicable policy requirements if hired
• This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship

Pay Range

• Hourly base pay rate meets or exceeds applicable minimum wage requirements
