Job Description

Truist Bank is seeking a Financial Advisor in McLean, VA (onsite) to source, grow, and retain client relationships while delivering personalized investment guidance aligned with client goals and risk tolerance.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored investment solutions to help clients pursue their long-term financial objectives.
  • Define the strategic direction for the Financial Advisor team to grow assets under management, drive sales, and elevate service levels.
  • Develop and maintain a profitable level of securities and insurance sales by pursuing opportunities from external networking and internal referrals, aligned to client segmentation and client best interests.
  • Use a consultative sales process to partner with clients for regular investment plan reviews.
  • Lead client relationship management strategies to deepen connections and loyalty.
  • Accurately record transactions and inquiries, ensuring client files are complete and compliant with regulatory policies.
  • Stay informed about all products offered by Truist Wealth and complete continuing education requirements.
  • Foster strong partnerships with Wealth and Commercial teams and other internal partners to identify and fulfill unmet client financial needs.
  • Conduct educational seminars on investment products for clients and prospects.
  • Uphold professional and ethical standards set by Truist, FINRA, and other regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Banking, or equivalent education and related experience.
  • FINRA licenses: Series 7 and 66 (63 and 65 may be substituted for 66).
  • Applicable state health and life insurance licenses.
  • Experience in securities sales and client relationship management.
  • Organized, self-motivated individual with strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, persuasion, and relationship-management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
