Job Description
Thrivent offers a financial advisor role built around personal, actionable guidance and ongoing support. You can grow a client practice with paid training and coaching, specialist resources across the organization, and a compensation model that includes commissions and incentives. This onsite position is based in Williston, ND.
Compensation ranges from $90,198 to $165,000 per year. As a licensed role, you’ll complete required credentials before contracting.
What you’ll do
- Build a financial practice that supports Christians on their journeys to financial clarity, helping enable lives of service and faith.
- Deliver personal, actionable advice that clients can put into practice, and connect them with appropriate Thrivent products and programs.
- Develop and maintain long-term, genuine client relationships across generations grounded in trust and understanding, with the ability to serve clients in your chosen community.
- Set client appointments by leveraging your network and Thrivent’s reputation, delivering award-winning financial workshops, and marketing your practice.
- Manage your own schedule to support work-life balance.
- Collaborate with colleagues who want you to succeed and are willing to help you do so.
- Use specialist support from areas such as business development, marketing, technology, engagement, and experienced advisors as you build your business.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- For licensed roles: attainment of FINRA SIE and life and health licenses before contracting.
- Satisfactory background check, fingerprinting, and securities registration and/or insurance licensing verification, if applicable.

- Compensation is a combination of commissions, bonuses, and incentives.
- Average total compensation for full-time roles: $90,198 in the first three years.
- Top Financial Advisors exceed $165,000 in total compensation during their first three years.
