Job Description

PNC Financial Services Group is hiring a Financial Advisor within PNC Wealth Management in the Falls Grove, MD area. In a branch-based, collaborative environment, you will consult on investment and insurance strategies, build client relationships, and take ownership of the client experience while helping clients pursue savings, investing, and retirement objectives.

Role overview

Financial Advisors at PNC work within a highly collaborative circuit of bank branches and manage an assigned book of business. The role centers on executing an advice and planning approach designed to support clients’ savings, investing, and retirement goals, while partnering closely with branch teams and internal business partners to drive referrals and results. The position is based in Rockville, MD (onsite).

Key responsibilities

  • Consult on investment and insurance strategies and assist with the development of financial plans for clients.
  • Develop, grow, and retain an investment and insurance book of business.
  • Own the client experience by handling sales and service, identifying sales and/or executing opportunities, and making referrals to internal business partners as appropriate.
  • Acquire, expand, and maintain client relationships through business development and client networking.
  • Increase client loyalty and share of wallet through an exceptional client experience.
  • Use product and procedural knowledge to resolve client needs appropriately and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement investment and insurance strategies, including determining the best products to support those strategies.
  • Provide sound financial recommendations and guidance, establishing plans based on client needs and objectives.
  • Monitor financial plans and recommend changes when needed.
  • Coach and educate branch staff and internal business partners to identify investment opportunities; drive investment education and visibility among branch staff.
  • In partnership with the branch manager and/or investment sales associate, lead branch actions to achieve investment results.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal and external partners to build relationships that support referral activity.
  • Meet regularly with the branch manager and internal business partners to communicate results and review pipeline management.
  • Meet service level agreements on lead and referral follow up.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a university/college degree and 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63, 65) required.
  • Life and Health Insurance required.

Compensation and incentives

The base salary range is USD 63,000 - 105,000 per year. The role is incentive eligible, with payment based upon company, business, and/or individual performance.
