Job Description
Northwestern Mutual is hiring a Financial Advisor in Plymouth, MA (hybrid) with training and development provided.
Responsibilities
- Offer strategic guidance across a broad spectrum of financial products and services, including debt management, cash management, insurance, and investments.
- Assess a client’s overall financial picture, identify needs, and design a robust financial plan.
- Guide clients toward financially sound and secure decisions.
- Grow the client base and cultivate mutually beneficial relationships.
- Network actively to generate leads and pursue opportunities to sell mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and other securities to meet sales targets.
- Stay informed on industry trends and conduct market research to support advisory recommendations.
- Monitor the implementation of the financial plan and update it as needed to maximize outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.
- Coordinate with providers, solicitors, valuers and other professionals as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a financial adviser, planner, or related role such as a controller or specialist.
- A documented track record of delivering effective financial guidance.
- Ability to analyze market financial data and provide data driven recommendations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to explain complex concepts clearly and simply.
- Proficiency with computers and experience operating database systems.
- Current professional qualifications such as FCA, CII, DipFA, CISI, or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
