Job Description
Financial Advisors at Northwestern Mutual work with clients to support long-term goals through personalized financial planning, with full training and career-long development. The position is based onsite in Beachwood, Ohio and combines product and market learning with client education, advisory recommendations, and business ownership responsibilities.
Role Summary
This role supports clients in living more fully and worrying less by delivering tailored guidance. The Financial Advisor track includes a full training and development program, supported by ongoing resources designed to help you build knowledge, influence client decisions, and develop an enduring advisory business.
Key Responsibilities
- Build: Develop knowledge of Northwestern Mutual financial products and market trends, strengthen client relationships, and network to grow your business alongside a Fortune 100 company.
- Educate: Extend learning beyond initial training through sponsored licensing and registration plus ongoing development, using assistive software, reporting tools, and illustrations to educate clients on potential plans.
- Influence: Provide clients with opportunities to protect and prosper, driving next steps through expert influence and recommendations.
- Own: Take ownership of business development and management as you scale the firm, including reviewing and maintaining client financial plans and continuing to provide advice aligned to clients’ needs.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year degree from an accredited institution
- Series 6 or Series 7 and Series 63 or Series 66
- Proven success in the investment business and strong understanding of comprehensive financial planning concepts
- Desire for continuous learning
- Prior management or business ownership experience preferred
- Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship

Compensation
Salary range: USD 70,000 - 250,000 per year.
