Financial Analyst III FP&A

V2X is seeking a Financial Analyst III focused on FP&A to support financial planning and analysis across the organization. In this role, you will help consolidate indirect forecasts, perform variance analysis, and prepare executive-level reporting that supports both the annual operating plan and ongoing monthly budgeting needs.

This is a remote position with a salary range of USD 80,000 - 125,000 per year. The starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with budget owners to gather, review, and consolidate monthly indirect expense forecasts.
• Act as a strategic business partner to functional leaders by understanding operational drivers, aligning financial goals to budget requirements, and providing tailored reporting and support.
• Prepare and present consolidated financial reports and forecasts for senior leadership.
• Support the development and coordination of the Annual Operating Plan and Monthly Indirect Budget forecasts.
• Conduct variance analysis and document explanations for actuals vs. forecast/budget.
• Develop and maintain Excel-based financial models used for reporting, scenario planning, and decision support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between operational plans and financial forecasts.
• Identify trends and metrics to support process improvements and automation within financial reporting.
• Recommend and implement best practices to promote consistency in reporting.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for finance and functional leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides comparable knowledge and job skills (one year related experience may substitute for one year of education when a degree is required).
• 4-6 years of Accounting/Finance experience.
• Experience in defense/government contract accounting is preferred.
• US Citizenship required.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate across functions and present to senior leadership.
• Strong organization and self-management to meet required deadlines.
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and re-prioritize amid competing requirements and deadlines.
• Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint, along with related financial applications.
• Company-provided computer.
