Role overview
This is an in‑office role with the potential to transition to a hybrid schedule. You will independently lead client meetings, develop comprehensive financial plans, and manage ongoing client relationships. The position is based in Niskayuna, NY, and is designed for someone who thrives in client relationships and takes ownership of the planning process.
Responsibilities
- Independently conduct client meetings, including annual reviews, planning discussions, and ongoing relationship management
- Develop and present comprehensive financial plans tailored to each client’s goals and retirement picture
- Manage follow-up items, action steps, and implementation after each meeting
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for a dedicated book of clients
- Maintain a high standard of responsiveness and care across all client relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in financial planning with direct client-facing responsibility
- Demonstrated ability to lead client meetings independently
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship management skills
- Comfortable working in an in‑office, team-based environment with hybrid potential over time
