Job Description

The Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I role is an on-site opportunity in Thousand Oaks, CA with Bank of America. This position centers on obtaining securities licenses, building and managing client relationships, and delivering end-to-end financial guidance while progressing toward Stage II within Bank of America and Merrill.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain Securities Industry licenses (SIE, Series 7 and Series 66) through dedicated classes.
  • Acquire, build, and manage client relationships.
  • Assess a client’s complex financial picture and provide advice and solutions to support their financial goals, while maintaining a humanized approach to interactions.
  • Begin work in a financial center to deliver Bank of America’s core banking, investment solutions, and client care approach.
  • Progress through development stages with Academy support and access to dedicated programs, tools, and resources.
  • Advance to Financial Solutions Advisor Stage II after demonstrating success as a licensed Stage I, expanding relationships within a client portfolio.
  • Provide end-to-end comprehensive advice, deliver client reviews and presentations with confidence, and recommend strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals and life priorities.
  • Collaborate with core banking and investment partners to connect clients to Bank of America and Merrill solutions to meet a broad range of financial needs.
  • Grow your network by engaging with banking customers, small business owners, and higher net worth clients at a financial center to expand your business.
  • Subject to SAFE Act registration; required to register and complete the SAFE Act background check and registration process. Failure to obtain and maintain SAFE Act registration may result in termination.

Requirements

  • Aptitude in obtaining required industry licenses.
  • Self-discipline in managing time and capacity.
  • Experience in cultivating client relationships, assessing needs, and recommending solutions.
  • Proven ability to develop strong peer relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to prioritize a client’s interests in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology or applications.
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, Secondary School or equivalent.
