Job Description

This Analyst role sits within Deutsche Bank’s Investment Banking & Capital Markets business, specifically the Financial Institutions Group (FIG). The position supports execution of live FIG transactions by preparing materials, running financial analyses and models, and communicating key deal takeaways to senior management.

Role Overview

As part of FIG coverage, you will help drive transaction execution across acquisitions, financings, and equity-raising activities. You will apply financial, economic, quantitative, and qualitative methods to assess transaction opportunities and develop the analytical work that supports client-facing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support execution of live transactions for the FIG coverage team, including creation of detailed memoranda and presentations, and analysis of client company attributes.
  • Use financial, economic, quantitative, and qualitative approaches to evaluate and execute acquisitions, financings, and equity raising transactions.
  • Build, develop, and apply advanced financial analyses and models to support deal execution.
  • Produce final reports summarizing client interactions and discussions for senior management and maintain ongoing communication.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven investment banking experience providing quantitative and analytical support for M&A and capital markets transactions, including IPOs, equity follow-ons, and investment grade and leveraged finance debt offerings.
  • Experience supporting senior bankers throughout the transaction lifecycle, including pitching and bake off, preparation of marketing materials and financial models, and participation in deal execution.
  • Relevant background in the FIG sector, such as Asset Management, Banks & Diversified Financials, FinTech, and Insurance / InsurTech (academic and/or work experience).
  • Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred.
  • Series 79 and Series 63 licensing preferred.

Location and Work Arrangement

The bank expects employees in this role to work from the New York, NY office at least 4 days per week.

Compensation

USD 110,000 - 125,000 per year.
