Senior Finance Analyst
Job Description
The Senior Finance Analyst will support business financial planning, reporting, and analysis, with ownership of month-end close activities and full P&L exposure. This hybrid role is based in Phoenix, AZ and coordinates closely with accounting to support accurate, timely financial results.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with department leaders to drive budgeting and forecasting, covering Revenue through Net Income, including Headcount, delivering function and customer-specific P&Ls.
- Execute and manage P&L performance against budget and forecast targets, proactively identifying areas of risk and opportunity.
- Prepare month-end close packages and lead variance analysis, including communication of drivers and related insights.
- Act as a liaison with accounting during month-end close to identify potential reclasses, accruals, or other journal entries to support accurate results at aggregate, account, function, and customer-specific levels.
- Use strong Excel and financial modeling skills to build and maintain financial models supporting reporting, analysis, and forecasting.
- Audit invoices and billbacks to help ensure accuracy and complete revenue capture.
- Support adoption of new technologies, financial models, and process improvements within the department.
- Complete ad hoc analyses and support additional requests as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent work experience.
- Solid understanding of GAAP.
- High business acumen, with a highly motivated and dedicated work approach.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong organization, attention to detail, effective written and oral communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in an FP&A role.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUPs, SUMIF(s), and pivot tables.
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-family industry experience.
- Experience with Adaptive Insights, Yardi, SalesForce, and Tableau.

Work Environment
- Hybrid role requiring work in a corporate office 3 days per week.
