Job Description

Apptegy offers a fully remote Senior Financial Analyst role on the FP&A team, focused on end-to-end planning, forecasting, and performance insights. You will collaborate with senior leaders to shape investments and drive scalable, AI-enabled financial processes. The position provides a salary range of USD 100,000 - 120,000 per year and the flexibility of remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Lead key segments of the planning cycle, including the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning.
  • Manage end-to-end FP&A for a critical, complex area of the business, establishing high standards for forecast accuracy and insight quality.
  • Develop and maintain scalable financial models across the full P&L covering revenue, operating expenses, and headcount.
  • Build scenario analyses to evaluate trade-offs between growth, profitability, and investment levels.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews with clear variance and trend analysis for leadership, preserving the integrity of the numbers.
  • Partner with department leaders and go-to-market teams to evaluate initiatives, resource allocation, and growth opportunities.
  • Analyze financial performance and SaaS metrics such as revenue, pipeline, retention, and customer growth to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Translate complex data into actionable recommendations for senior leaders and guide the FP&A narrative in leadership and board materials.
  • Oversee cross-functional analytical projects and significant ad hoc work, including pricing, investment cases, new product investments, and operational improvements.
  • Enhance core models, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to enable faster, more accurate decision making.
  • Own and extend major modules within the planning platform Pigment and related systems, building workflows that reduce manual effort.
  • Design and implement automated, AI-enabled processes that improve speed, accuracy, and data quality while driving adoption across the team.
  • Set standards and share best practices as a go-to FP&A resource beyond the immediate area, elevating the function overall.
  • Prepare concise materials for leadership and board level reporting and help evolve Apptegy’s planning processes as we scale.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, corporate finance, or related analytical roles with end-to-end planning ownership for a meaningful business area.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a track record of partnering with and influencing senior leaders through financial analysis.
  • Full P&L exposure, including driving annual budget cycles.
  • Strong fluency in SaaS metrics (ARR, NRR, GRR, LTV/CAC, payback) and the ability to translate insights into action.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including scenario modeling and large data set analysis.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools, workflow automation, or scripting (for example Python, Macros/VBA, Google Apps Script) to streamline financial processes.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and navigate ambiguity in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
