Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst will support Abbott's Electrophysiology Medical Device division in Plymouth, Minnesota, handling financial consolidation, forecasting, month-end close, and performance analysis to inform senior management decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the month-end close by managing accrual requests, preparing journal entries, reviewing spending and headcount, analyzing variances to the forecast, and reporting monthly results to management.
  • Take ownership of assigned areas within the quarterly forecast process to ensure timely and accurate projections.
  • Collaborate with business partners to capture inputs and underlying assumptions.
  • Consolidate inputs at the division level and provide commentary on final numbers.
  • Communicate performance drivers and outcomes effectively to leadership.
  • Promote excellence in processes and the tools used within finance activities.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and propose practical solutions that drive efficiency gains.
  • Develop and implement sound financial processes aimed at enhancing business performance.
  • Build financial models with extensive use of Excel to support analyses and decision making.
  • Support ad hoc finance requests and inquiries from business partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of full-time FP&A experience.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage across a matrix organization.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.

Compensation and Location

Location: Plymouth, MN onsite

Salary: USD 78,000 - 156,000 per year
