Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance & Strategy

Plaid is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Corporate Finance team, supporting the strategic, externally oriented side of the organization. The role partners closely with the CFO and leadership to shape long-range planning, board-level materials, capital structure analysis, and enterprise financial strategy.

Role Scope

As part of Plaid’s Corporate Finance team, you will help translate company strategy into financial targets and decision-ready reporting. Core focus areas include the long-range plan, quarterly Board process, consolidated forecasting, SBC and equity modeling, and external benchmarking that informs capital and operating decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Own components of Plaid’s 3–5 year long-range plan, including model design, scenario analysis, and translating business strategy into financial targets.
• Partner on the end-to-end PMO for the quarterly Board process, covering framework development, narrative ownership, materials build, and Q&A management.
• Build and operationalize SBC and equity modeling, incorporating HC growth, grant cadence, forfeitures, and refresh cycles, and connect SBC outputs to the path to GAAP profitability, EBITDA, and margin analysis.
• Lead consolidated cash flow forecasting and develop contingency and management reserve strategy; run total company forecast reviews against company targets.
• Drive external benchmarking against peer companies across key financial and non-financial metrics and build analytical foundations for long-term capital and operating decisions.
• Work with Corp Dev on capital raise activities, including pro-forma reporting, forecasting, and capital structure analysis.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses that support long-term business planning and decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, strategic finance, or management consulting, ideally with tech, SaaS, or fintech exposure.
• Advanced financial modeling skills, including hands-on experience building long-range, scenario/sensitivity, or valuation models.
• Strong command of consolidated financial statements, key SaaS/fintech operating metrics, and external benchmarking.
• Excellent communication and storytelling capabilities to present both detailed analysis and an executive-level narrative for senior leaders and the Board.
• Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and translate complex, ambiguous topics into structured frameworks and clear recommendations.
• Self-directed and curious, with a can-do approach and ability to operate in a high-autonomy, fast-paced environment.
• Interest in using AI, automation, and systems thinking to improve financial processes and build scalable planning and reporting frameworks.
