Job Description

Overview

ConEquip Parts & Equipment, LLC is expanding and seeks a strategic, analytical Senior Manager, Strategic Finance to join the leadership team. This role suits someone who connects financial data to business strategy, partners with leaders across the organization, and helps drive informed, profitable decisions. You will shape the financial direction for a fast growing, multi entity business, guiding budgeting and forecasting, developing executive reporting and financial models, and delivering insights that support growth. This is a high visibility finance leadership role focused on business partnership, strategic planning, financial analysis, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with the CFO and department leaders to enhance financial visibility, strengthen reporting processes, evaluate opportunities, and build the finance infrastructure needed to support the next stage of ConEquip's growth.

Who You Are

You are naturally curious, analytical, and focused on understanding what drives business performance beyond the numbers. You enjoy solving complex problems, building financial models, and turning data into actionable recommendations that help leaders make better decisions. You thrive in a fast paced, growing organization where priorities evolve, balancing strategic initiatives with day to day financial planning. You communicate financial information in a way that is easy for non financial leaders to understand, and you enjoy collaborating across departments to improve processes, increase accountability, and support company goals. Most importantly, you contribute to shaping the financial results, not just reporting them.

  • Lead the company's annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.
  • Own consolidated monthly financial reporting and executive management reporting packages.
  • Analyze financial performance, budget variances, operating trends, and key business metrics.

  • Deliver meaningful financial insights that improve visibility into company performance and profitability.

Business Partnership

  • Serve as the primary finance business partner to department leaders across the organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to evaluate investments, operational initiatives, pricing strategies, and resource allocation decisions.
  • Prepare departmental budget-to-actual reporting and performance analysis.
  • Lead product profitability, returns, customer, and marketing performance analysis.
  • Own the company's sales commission process, including calculations, reporting, and policy administration.

Financial Reporting & External Support

  • Prepare consolidated financial reporting across multiple business entities.
  • Own lender reporting and support banking relationships with timely and accurate financial information.
  • Coordinate financial due diligence requests for financing, acquisitions, audits, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Support covenant reporting and other external financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare executive presentations and ad hoc financial analyses as needed.

Process Improvement & Growth

  • Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve financial reporting processes.
  • Enhance reporting infrastructure to provide more timely and meaningful business insights.
  • Reduce manual processes through improved workflows, reporting tools, and system enhancements.
  • Help build scalable finance processes that support a growing, multi entity organization.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate financial results into strategic recommendations.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence leaders across multiple departments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, growth oriented environment.
  • Process driven mindset focused on continuous improvement, automation, and scalability.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms preferred.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable partnering with leaders at all levels of the organization.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting executive leadership through budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic analysis.
  • Experience working in a multi entity, private equity backed, or rapidly growing organization is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting platforms is strongly preferred; experience with Odoo is a plus.
  • Prior experience supporting lender reporting, financing activities, or financial due diligence is a plus.
