Schreiber Foods is hiring an Operations Finance Manager to serve as a strategic finance partner to U.S. Operations. In this hybrid role based in Green Bay, WI, you will lead end-to-end finance processes and cross-functional initiatives, bringing analytics, forecasting discipline, and decision-support into areas including profitability, reporting, obsolete inventory, costing standards, and controls.
You will work closely with plant, operations, category, and corporate leadership, using financial insight to challenge assumptions, align stakeholders on priorities, and convert findings into measurable actions. The role also supports scalable finance capability through technology, automation, and responsible AI adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Build trusted relationships with plant, operations, category, and corporate leadership to support improved business results.
- Advise senior leaders on financial and operational matters, challenge assumptions, and align partners on resource decisions and actions.
- Lead analytics initiatives, including dashboards, reporting, and decision-support tools that benchmark performance and uncover business drivers.
- Champion scalable technology, automation, and responsible AI adoption to improve finance capability and decision quality.
- Own complex financial analyses, forecasting, and scenario modeling for corporate, category, and operations objectives.
- Translate analysis into clear recommendations and measurable actions within the broader business strategy.
- Identify and lead cost reduction opportunities, including improving EBITDA margin, strengthening working capital, and enhancing operational effectiveness.
- Partner across departments and sites from opportunity diagnosis through implementation and benefit realization.
- Lead U.S. Operations management reporting, including executive-ready financial storytelling, performance-driver analysis, and progress reporting for corporate savings initiatives.
- Establish consistent approaches to improve transparency and accountability.
- Own the U.S. obsolete inventory FP&A process end to end, including reporting, reserve oversight, governance, and cross-functional actions to improve inventory health and working capital.
- Evaluate accounting and costing practices across U.S. business units, resolve moderately complex issues, and lead process, control, and standard improvements.
- Recommend and help implement enterprise-consistent practices where standards are absent or variation exists.
- Independently lead critical site FP&A processes, including product costing and financial close support.
- Provide experienced finance leadership across Missouri locations as needed due to emerging issues, vacancies, or absences.
- Safeguard company assets and reporting integrity by assessing financial risk, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring adherence to GAAP and applicable requirements.
- Lead end-to-end regional and cross-functional finance projects.
- Organize project work, review deliverables, coach other finance professionals, and share expertise to strengthen team capability without direct people-management responsibility.
Qualifications
- Must live within 100 miles of all Southwest Missouri locations, including Carthage, Monett, and Mount Vernon, and be willing to meet the position’s travel requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related business discipline preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
- Typically 7+ years of relevant FP&A, operations finance, accounting, or related experience.
- Manufacturing cost accounting experience strongly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of operations finance or a related specialty, including working knowledge of accounting, costing, FP&A, internal controls, and manufacturing or industry practices.
- Demonstrated success independently owning a range of moderately complex projects or end-to-end processes with measurable impact.
- Proven ability to diagnose moderately complex, cross-functional problems, integrate financial and operational information, and implement moderate to significant improvements.
- Strong business judgment and influence to advise senior leadership, challenge assumptions constructively, and align partners across departments.
- Exceptional communication and financial storytelling skills, with ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations and outcomes.
- Advanced analytical and technology capabilities, with intellectual curiosity and a continuous-learning mindset.
- Willingness and ability to responsibly adopt modern analytics, automation, and AI tools to improve financial effectiveness.
