Job Description

Senior Financial Analyst, Sales & Marketing role at Saint-Gobain partnering with sales leadership to analyze operations and drive profitable growth through budgeting, forecasting and reporting.

Location: Worcester, MA (onsite) | Salary: USD 81,500 - 139,100 per year | Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance | Minimum Experience: 5 years

Responsibilities

  • Deliver precise financial data and analysis to shape sales forecast volumes, pricing, mix variances, margin analysis and sales & marketing costs
  • Lead the annual budgeting cycle and the quarterly forecasting process
  • Design and build reporting for internal partners and external stakeholders
  • Identify issues early and drive analyses and recommended solutions
  • Develop strategic financial justifications for business decisions, including evaluating new opportunities
  • Oversee the month-end close process, including account ownership, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare post-close financial analyses, performance reports and management commentary
  • Review and validate commission calculations and sales incentive payments
  • Governance of commission agreements and sales incentive plans
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses as needed
  • Proactively undertake self-initiated project work when opportunities for improvement are identified
  • Coordinate internal control reviews, reporting and requirements related to assigned activities
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation systems to support processes and controls

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university
  • 5 to 7 years of progressive financial analysis experience
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills, able to operate within a global matrix organization
  • Team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to research problems, gather relevant information, develop and defend solutions, and implement recommendations
  • Broad knowledge of financial concepts and accounting operations
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills suitable for all organizational levels
