Job Description

Virtual Financial Advisor at Thrivent delivering purpose-based financial guidance to re-engage existing clients virtually, with potential to build a local practice within 18-24 months.

Responsibilities

  • Build and apply relationship skills to engage clients with confidence, while expanding sales experience.
  • Guide individuals who share Thrivent's mission toward creating and maintaining financial plans that support lives of service and faith.
  • Meet with clients virtually to provide personalized, actionable advice and connect them to Thrivent products and programs.
  • Proactively re-engage existing Thrivent clients by scheduling meaningful appointments via phone, screen sharing, and video.
  • Access a large existing client base while also serving your personal network and natural market.
  • Utilize robust tools such as the Thrivent Planning Platform, Salesforce, MoneyGuidePro, and Morningstar, with modern hardware provided.
  • Benefit from a collaborative culture with colleagues and leaders focused on your success.
  • Conduct virtual meetings using Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Hybrid role available in Minneapolis, Dallas, Milwaukee, Denver, or Atlanta; fully remote for other locations.

Role Description

  • Leverage relationship-building to engage clients with confidence and clear guidance, while developing sales experience.
  • Guide Christians and others who align with Thrivent's mission to create and maintain financial plans supporting service and faith.
  • Meet virtually to provide personal, actionable advice and connect clients to Thrivent products and programs.
  • Access a large existing client base and opportunities to help friends, family, and your natural market.
  • Utilize Thrivent Planning Platform, Salesforce, MoneyGuidePro, and Morningstar, with provided modern hardware.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Military veterans are encouraged to apply.
  • FINRA Series 7, 63/65 or 66 required or obtained within 90 days.
  • State life, health and variable insurance license or obtained within 90 days; appointed to sell Thrivent products where applicable.
  • Eligibility to be securities registered and insurance licensed in all 50 states.
  • Satisfactory background check (criminal and financial).

  • Base pay of $21.64-$28.85 per hour with additional monthly sales bonuses based on results and client impact; average total compensation for this full-time role is $78,000, with top advisors exceeding $120,000.

Pay Transparency

Compensation for this role combines base pay, bonuses and incentives. The total compensation range for this full-time position is $73,500 - $120,000 per year, varying by performance and geography.
