Job Description

ENTE K is hiring a Financial Controller to lead finance and accounting for a battery separator manufacturing facility in Terre Haute, IN (onsite), supporting commissioning, startup, and ongoing operations.

Responsibilities

Build and lead the accounting and finance organization as the facility scales
Recruit, develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing accounting team
Create scalable accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and financial reporting processes
Design and implement month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Develop KPIs, dashboards, and operational reporting for plant leadership decision-making
Partner with Corporate Accounting to support compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and internal controls
Own manufacturing accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, labor and overhead absorption, and manufacturing cost analysis
Develop and maintain product costing methodologies to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial reporting
Analyze manufacturing variances, inventory performance, labor efficiency, material usage, and operational trends to drive cost reduction and profitability improvement
Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning
Perform customer profitability, pricing, gross margin, and price-volume-mix analyses
Support capital investment decisions and long-range operational planning
Develop inventory accounting processes, cost center structures, and physical inventory programs
Establish financial processes for construction-in-progress (CIP), capital projects, and production reporting
Lead ERP implementation activities, including financial configuration, testing, and process optimization
Build internal control documentation and standardized financial workflows
Support factory commissioning, operational readiness, and production startup activities
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Human Resources, and executive leadership
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, operational excellence, and financial process optimization
Support tax incentive programs, audits, compliance activities, and manufacturing finance initiatives

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing
Strong manufacturing accounting and cost accounting background, including standard costing, inventory accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Experience leading month-end close and financial reporting processes
Proven success partnering with manufacturing and operational leadership
Experience developing financial models and providing strategic business analysis
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and build strong cross-functional relationships

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms
Experience leading ERP implementations or manufacturing finance transformation initiatives
Experience supporting multiple operating entities and intercompany accounting
Public accounting experience
Experience supporting manufacturing startups, greenfield facilities, plant expansions, or large capital projects
Experience developing finance organizations, internal controls, and scalable accounting processes from the ground up

Work Schedule

Full-time, exempt position
Onsite in Terre Haute, Indiana
Monday through Friday
Additional hours may be required occasionally during month-end close, ERP implementation, production startup, and other key business initiatives
