Job Description

Edward Jones is hiring an Associate Financial Advisor in Arlington, WA to support personalized financial planning and client service through close collaboration with advisors and client support teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deepen client relationships by supporting discovery conversations, collecting key financial details, and helping advance personalized financial plans tied to client goals
  • Support comprehensive financial planning by preparing analysis and scenario models, and helping connect investments to client life events and long-term priorities
  • Assist with portfolio strategy and implementation through research on performance, allocation, and costs; help prepare proposals; and support investment adjustments within suitability and firm guidance
  • Partner with the financial advisor and practice team on ongoing financial planning, including monitoring progress, preparing reviews, and updating strategies as client needs change
  • Contribute to client and practice growth by supporting outreach, referrals, and community engagement that introduces clients to relationship-based planning

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional experience, or a background in financial services, sales, or a field that built relationship-building and achievement skills
  • Demonstrated experience in sales, business development, client relationship management, or a role requiring strong interpersonal communication
  • Self-motivation and goal drive with accountability in a performance-oriented environment
  • Clear, confident communication skills to simplify complex topics and lead meaningful client conversations
  • Willingness to obtain Series 7, Series 66, and applicable state insurance licenses within three months of hire (Edward Jones fully sponsors and supports licensing)
  • Comfort learning and applying financial planning software and digital engagement tools

What Could Set You Apart

  • Partial securities licensing (for example, SIE exam)
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial services, investment advisory, or wealth management
  • CFP® designation or active progress toward it
  • Familiarity with financial planning tools such as MoneyGuide or Salesforce
