Job Description
University Orthopedics Center is hiring a full-time Chief Financial Officer to lead accounting and financial management for UOC Companies in State College, PA.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounting and financial management activities of UOC Companies
- Develop and maintain core accounting systems
- Prepare entity financial reports and internal financial statements
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions
- Organize and complete scheduled statistical reports
- Administer financial reporting requirements for external agencies, including UOC banking institutions, government taxing authorities, regulatory entities, and UOC auditors
- Establish and monitor internal financial controls; report deficiencies and corrective actions to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors
- Coordinate annual operating and capital budgeting process
- Summarize budget trends, analyze deficiencies, and report variances
- Prepare financial projections and capitalization options for proposed new businesses
- Oversee cash flow management and portfolios and cash management services
- Manage and negotiate debt arrangements, including managing debt facilities and strategies to maintain an efficient debt/equity capital structure
- Determine business unit capital requirements, prioritize allocations, and prepare return on capital projections and risk/return assessments
- Manage tax preparation duties and coordinate with external tax accountants
- Oversee financial control activities, including review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers
- Direct materials management and oversee material management systems
- Prepare, monitor, and report key performance measures to the management team
- Hire, train, and supervise accounting team members
- Collaborate with the management team to establish more effective processes and controls to minimize risk and identify growth opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
Compensation and Employment
- Job type: Full-time
- Pay: USD 75,000 - 150,000 per year
- Work location: In person
- Exempt employee status: Exempt employee and not eligible for overtime pay
