Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to transform data usage and governance by designing data strategies and delivering end-to-end solutions that improve the data supply chain, reengineer processes, strengthen risk controls, and enable information intelligence with advanced technologies
  • Address complex challenges and drive growth across financial services
  • Define data and analytics strategies through assessments, remediation recommendations, and future-state solution design
  • Lead and coach diverse teams of professionals from varying backgrounds
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure accountability for tasks and timelines
  • Propose and implement new technologies to enhance or replace existing processes
  • Contribute to thought leadership via white papers, point of views, and proofs of concept
  • Develop problem-solving approaches that combine logical reasoning with creative methods
  • Engage and influence large teams and functional leaders
  • Motivate teams with varied skills and backgrounds
  • Deliver high-quality client services by monitoring progress and outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Analytics or a related field with 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 4 years of related experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in the banking, capital markets, insurance or asset management industry
  • Distributed processing experience (Spark, Hadoop, or EMR)
  • Traditional RDBMS experience (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL)
  • MPP experience (AWS Redshift or Teradata)
  • NoSQL experience (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J, or Titan)
  • Cloud platforms experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Databricks)
  • Data governance, lineage and quality tools experience (Collibra, Solidatus, Informatica, Alation, Snowflake, Ab Initio, One Trust, or Big ID)
  • At least 3 years of experience using technologies, frameworks or methodologies for data ingestion, storage, mining, warehousing, big data analytics, manipulation, or visualization
  • At least 3 years of experience managing teams through a product or project management lifecycle, including requirements, design, development and testing
  • At least 3 years of experience quantifying improvements in business areas resulting from optimization techniques using analytics or statistical modeling
  • Domestic and regional travel up to 60% to meet client needs
