Data Analyst, Technology Consulting - Data & Analytics (Data Governance & Controls) - Financial Services Office (Senior) (Multiple Positions)

This senior data analyst role sits within EY's Technology Consulting practice (Data & Analytics), with a focus on Data Governance and Controls for Financial Services. The position involves designing data strategies and delivering end-to-end data solutions for clients in a hybrid work setting based in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to reshape data usage and governance by architecting data strategies and delivering end-to-end solutions that strengthen the data supply chain, streamline processes, enhance risk controls, and enable information-driven insights through modern technologies.
• Address complex challenges and contribute to growth across the financial services sector.
• Develop data and analytics roadmaps by assessing current state, recommending remediation options from a consolidated gap view, and designing and implementing future-state data and analytics solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with client stakeholders at appropriate levels.
• Track progress, manage risk, and keep key stakeholders informed of milestones and expected outcomes.
• Set and manage expectations regarding client service delivery.
• Maintain awareness of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's sector.
• Offer technical guidance and share knowledge with team members from diverse backgrounds.
• Consistently deliver high-quality client services, focusing on complex, judgmental, and specialized issues.
• Demonstrate strong technical capabilities and professional knowledge.
• Familiarize with EY service lines and actively identify opportunities to apply knowledge and services to client needs.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Analytics or a related field with 2 years of related work experience; or a Master’s degree in one of these fields with 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in the banking, capital markets, insurance, or asset management industry.
• At least 1 year of experience in at least one of the following domains: distributed processing (Spark, Hadoop, EMR); traditional RDBMS (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL); MPP (AWS Redshift, Teradata); NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J, Titan); cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Platform, Databricks); data governance, lineage and quality tools (Collibra, Solidatus, Informatica, Alation, Snowflake, Ab Initio, One Trust, Big ID).
• At least 1 year of experience with technologies, frameworks or methodologies for data ingestion, storage, mining, warehousing, big data analytics, manipulation, or visualization.
• At least 1 year of experience in product and/or project management across the full lifecycle stages, including requirements, design, development and testing.
• At least 1 year of experience quantifying improvements in business areas resulting from optimization techniques through business analytics and/or statistical modeling.
• Domestic and regional travel up to 60 percent to meet client needs.
