Job Description
The Finance Associate supports budget management for Nutrition & Health R&D, partnering with Finance and R&D leadership to track objectives, improve processes, and maintain a compliant control environment. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to generate ROI insights and drive synergies across portfolios.
Position Summary
As the Finance Associate, you will assist the Finance function and the R&D Leadership Team with budgeting to monitor progress toward Nutrition & Health R&D objectives and portfolio output within approved budgets and plans. You will seek process efficiencies, implement improvements, and maintain an auditable control framework. Collaboration with Nutrition & Health Finance teams and the broader R&D community is essential to create synergies and shared outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Finance Lead with planning and coordinating the R&D budget including internal and external components, ensuring cost control and accurate reporting across the Nutrition & Health Leadership team and Categories by leveraging I2L, data analysis, and reporting tools, including PCA in the Management Letter.
- Contribute to end-to-end fixed asset management, from CAPEX envelope controls to timely capitalization of assets and depreciation simulations.
- Help the Finance Lead derive insights on I&R financials and R&D costs relative to the P&L (iNNS, %CMC, %COP1) to assess ROI and the portfolio's accretive or dilutive impact.
- Communicate budgeting cycles for quarter end and the preliminary next-year budget.
- Prepare monthly budget review meetings with the various R&D leaders.
- Provide ongoing support to the Finance Lead, track relevant information, respond to ad hoc requests, and generate targeted analyses.
- Maintain adherence to auditable processes and compliance requirements.
- Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master degree in Business, Finance, or a related field with a process-oriented approach.
- Experience using AI tools for prompting and analysis, including Co-Pilot.
- Proficiency in Power Query, DAX, and Power BI dashboard development.
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
