Job Description

Prime Video Finance at Amazon.com Services LLC offers an onsite opportunity in Culver City, CA to join a team that partners across production, content strategy, and finance leadership. This role focuses on forecasting, budgeting, controllership, and capital allocation for global live sports production, with a compensation range of USD 95,300 to 166,700 per year. The position emphasizes collaboration, rigorous analysis, and continuous improvement, supported by a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly and quarterly financial forecasting for sports production operations, including P&L analysis and variance reporting.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making for production investments and capital allocation.
  • Partner with production teams to build accurate budgets for live sports events, studio operations, and production infrastructure.
  • Oversee financial controllership for live sports productions, ensuring accurate cost tracking and reporting.
  • Monitor production spend against budgets, identifying risks and opportunities proactively.
  • Serve as a trusted finance partner to production, content strategy, and operations teams, translating complex financial concepts into actionable insights.
  • Support deal structuring and financial analysis for new sports rights acquisitions and production partnerships.
  • Lead business case development for major capital investments in production facilities and technology.
  • Analyze production efficiency metrics and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance financial visibility and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of finance experience
  • Experience building and managing financial models for forecasting and problem solving, or experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results, or experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or CPA
  • Experience in the entertainment industry
  • Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
  • Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
  • Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles, or experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Knowledge of live sports production operations and workflows
  • Track record of driving process improvements and system implementations
