Job Description

The Financial Advisor role at Truist Bank provides tailored investment guidance and manages client relationships to grow assets under management. The position requires aligning financial strategies with clients' goals and risk tolerance through ongoing planning and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored investment guidance to help clients pursue their long-term financial objectives.
  • Define the strategic direction for the Financial Advisor team to drive growth in assets under management, sales, and service levels.
  • Build and sustain a profitable mix of securities and insurance sales by pursuing opportunities identified through external networking and internal referrals, while aligning with the client segmentation model and the client's best interests.
  • Apply a consultative approach to partner with clients in reviewing investment plans on a regular basis.
  • Lead client relationship management programs to deepen engagement and loyalty.
  • Ensure accurate recording of transactions and inquiries, and maintain customer files in compliance with regulatory policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all Truist Wealth products and complete continuing education requirements.
  • Foster strong partnerships with Wealth and Commercial teams and other internal partners to identify and fulfill unmet client financial needs.
  • Conduct investment product educational seminars for clients and prospects.
  • Adhere to professional and ethical standards set by Truist, FINRA, and other regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Banking, or equivalent education and related experience.
  • FINRA licenses Series 7 and 66, or Series 63 and 65 in lieu of 66.
  • Applicable state licenses for health and life insurance.
  • Experience in securities sales and client relationship management.
  • Organized, self-motivated professional with strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, persuasive, and relationship-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
