Job Description

Support low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) project analysis by maintaining property-level inputs, producing financial modeling outputs, and tracking Originations activity.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and update property-level financial data to help determine initial viability for LIHTC projects (as required by the Originator)
  • Develop Letters of Understanding (LOU) using WNC’s financial model
  • Contribute to meetings, conferences, and developer meetings as needed
  • Create state-specific group email lists based on application and award lists
  • Prepare an Originations “Exceptions Chart” and a WNC internal scoring sheet for each signed deal
  • Maintain the Originations department calendar
  • Collect, organize, and support initial due diligence materials, including items such as Developer Experience, Net Worth, and Market Study
  • Create, update, and distribute monthly analysis charts covering Originations department operations
  • Organize transportation for housing conference materials
  • Update and manage the Originations Pipeline, including tracking of lost projects
  • Assist Originations, Acquisitions, Syndications, and senior staff with special projects as needed

Requirements

  • Willingness to support a teamwork concept and help others
  • Willingness to take ownership of work and initiate tasks with responsibility
  • Intermediate skill level of Excel
  • Detail oriented with attention to accuracy and organization related to the WNC Financial Model and Letter of Understanding
  • Ability to perform under a heavy workload generated by multiple Originators
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving, priority setting, and planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, Business, Real Estate, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in finance, accounting, real estate, or a related field (noted range: 2–3 years)
  • Experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, real estate underwriting, or similar analytical responsibilities is preferred

Compensation: USD 75,000 - 90,000 per year
