Job Description
Technology-forward, process-focused role for an early-career Financial Analyst at True Manufacturing Group in O’Fallon, MO (onsite). You will support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close while using technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve reporting efficiency. The position also includes up to one remote workday per week based on business needs, along with in-person collaboration to support day-to-day priorities and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, as well as budgets and forecasts and management summaries.
- Support general ledger accounting and core accounting functions including fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
- Review financial information for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Analyze financial and operational data to surface trends, variances, and key performance drivers.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, reporting needs, and process improvements.
- Develop strong expertise in the ERP system to enhance forecasting capability and support future implementation and ongoing ERP enhancements.
- Support audit-related work, including documentation, internal controls, and compliance activities.
- Contribute to building and improving financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Use technology, data tools, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, strengthen analysis, and reduce manual effort.
- Propose ideas for automation, standardization, and continuous improvement across accounting and finance processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller and Assistant Controller.
- Maintain consistent on-site collaboration, including attendance at scheduled meetings and real-time coordination to support alignment and timely decision-making.
- Meet regularly with your manager in person to align on workload, priorities, performance, and professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Interest in leveraging AI tools to improve reporting and workflow efficiency.
- Ability to explore and apply AI tools responsibly to support analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
- Capability to identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve consistency.
- Comfort helping the finance team adopt technologies that improve productivity and business insights.
- Ability to validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
