Financial Analyst will support the CFO with month-end close, financial planning and analysis, and budgeting and forecasting.

Coordinate and facilitate operating budget and forecast development
Analyze benchmarking data, reports, processes, and measurements tied to key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and make recommendations
Participate in the design, implementation, and ongoing analysis of business unit KPIs
Research, recommend, and implement analytics tools and statistical methods supporting quality improvement, program development, and financial performance
Conduct variance analysis and review financial information including budgets, forecasts, income and expense statements, and monthly operating results across all programs
Provide program leadership with data and explanations for variances to budget
Prepare routine and ad hoc financial reports and presentation packages for senior management
Support streamlining of reporting packages
Assist with reporting to counties
Support financial and regulatory audits to help ensure compliance
Monitor contracts for compliance and assist with annual renewal of licenses and contracts
Complete special projects and other accounting duties as assigned by management

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and 4 years related experience, or a combination of equivalent education and experience in accounting and finance
Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Healthcare industry knowledge preferred
Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise required
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports
Ability to respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
Ability to write reports and business correspondence and procedure manuals
Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers
Familiarity with relational database creation and management, including the ability to extract data for statistical analysis and reporting
Experience using Standard Query Language (SQL) or a similar language required

Pay: USD 30 to 50 hourly
Starting pay determined by the scope of the position, candidate’s relevant experience, and internal equity

Read and interpret documents such as insurance requirements, authorizations, and coverages, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Write routine reports and correspondence

Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages, and ratios

Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
