Financial Analyst

Financial Analyst will support the CFO with month-end close, financial planning and analysis, and budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate operating budget and forecast development
• Analyze benchmarking data, reports, processes, and measurements tied to key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and make recommendations
• Participate in the design, implementation, and ongoing analysis of business unit KPIs
• Research, recommend, and implement analytics tools and statistical methods supporting quality improvement, program development, and financial performance
• Conduct variance analysis and review financial information including budgets, forecasts, income and expense statements, and monthly operating results across all programs
• Provide program leadership with data and explanations for variances to budget
• Prepare routine and ad hoc financial reports and presentation packages for senior management
• Support streamlining of reporting packages
• Assist with reporting to counties
• Support financial and regulatory audits to help ensure compliance
• Monitor contracts for compliance and assist with annual renewal of licenses and contracts
• Complete special projects and other accounting duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and 4 years related experience, or a combination of equivalent education and experience in accounting and finance
• Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Healthcare industry knowledge preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise required
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports
• Ability to respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence and procedure manuals
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers
• Familiarity with relational database creation and management, including the ability to extract data for statistical analysis and reporting
• Experience using Standard Query Language (SQL) or a similar language required

Schedule and Location

• Location: Camarillo, CA (onsite)
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Compensation

• Pay: USD 30 to 50 hourly
• Starting pay determined by the scope of the position, candidate’s relevant experience, and internal equity
