Financial Analyst 2 Multiport (FP&A)

The Financial Analyst 2, FP&A for Intuitive Surgical's Multiport organization delivers forecasting, budgeting, analytics, and KPI/dashboard development to inform product decisions and margin improvements. This onsite role is based in Sunnyvale, California.

Salary: USD 93,300 - 148,600 per year

Responsibilities

• Provide economic decision support, data analysis, expense management, and financial planning, including evaluating infrastructure opportunities and product pipeline value by clearly assessing and articulating their financial impact.
• Track, analyze, report, and consolidate Multiport financials as part of month-end close, forecast, and budget processes; analyze trends and variances against forecasts and budgets.
• Develop and analyze business unit KPIs, offering insights into material changes, drivers, and opportunities.
• Serve as a business and data expert, proactively addressing business problems, identifying solutions, and informing best in class decisions.
• Create economic valuation and comparison models to support key business decisions.
• Develop KPIs and reporting tools to influence strategic decisions and initiatives.
• Build dashboards and analytics to monitor and drive business performance.
• Identify and execute ongoing process improvements by applying best practices, standardization, and automation to scale the business.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in finance and accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, analytics, and financial modeling (Required).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with leadership and cross functional teams.
• High intellectual curiosity, strong problem solving, and the ability to derive insights from large and ambiguous datasets.
• Proven self-starter capable of functioning in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy; highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Ability to succinctly and accurately present findings to management and leadership.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, including building financial models with complex formulas and large data sets.
• Proficiency in SQL and Tableau or equivalent tools.
• Onsite requirement: this role works at the Sunnyvale, CA office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
