You will contribute to purchase order management, monthly close, budgeting, forecasting and spend analytics to improve transparency and efficiency. Compensation and location

Location: Remote. Compensation: USD 87,400 to 117,400 per year.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily purchase order approvals to ensure accurate coding and budget alignment, provide timely approvals, map actuals to budgets correctly, and resolve any discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Support monthly and quarterly close by preparing and reviewing expense accruals, amortization schedules and reclasses to ensure a timely and precise close.
• Develop recurring management review packages such as OPEX, CAPEX, headcount and trend reports, delivering insights for business reviews.
• Conduct variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods; identify key drivers, communicate actionable insights, and track follow ups to resolution.
• Provide guidance on expense recognition for items like prepaids, milestones and capital expenditures to support accurate forecasting.
• Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting by gathering input from budget owners, validating assumptions, consolidating submissions and documenting key drivers.
• Contribute to ad hoc analyses and scenario modeling to support leadership decisions and evolving business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a financial planning role, preferably in pharma or biotech.
• Strong planning, reporting and analytical skills with demonstrated business and systems impact in prior roles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.
• Ability to work with large datasets from multiple systems to build insights and reporting.
• Experience with financial systems including ERP (SAP or Oracle) and planning/reporting tools such as TM1, Hyperion or Adaptive.
