Job Description
Fill-Rite Company is seeking a Financial Analyst- Sales & Operations to lead the FP&A function on site in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In this role, you will oversee the daily work of the Financial Analyst, the Customer Sales Specialist, and the Inventory Control Analyst, ensuring the integrity of accounting and finance systems while delivering timely information to guide pricing, margins, and operational efficiency. The position reports onsite, requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years in business operations or accounting, and offers a salary of USD 60,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Assess sales performance by customer and product across markets, channels, and products to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Increase visibility into customer-level P&L with actionable insights for pricing strategy, margin optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Analyze customer rebates, commissions, and related improvements.
- Oversee the month-end close using approved standard work and a month-end checklist, ensuring all closing activities and reporting requirements are completed by deadlines.
- Coordinate and execute the development of monthly financial forecasts and prepare all corporate submissions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop the annual STRAT plan and operating budgets.
- Support operational planning with reporting features for inventory control, production, capacity, and efficiency metrics.
- Oversee the documented cycle count process to ensure adherence to audit and process narrative controls.
- Create dashboards and other reporting tools to communicate actionable insights to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Conduct gross profit variance analyses, including freight, tariffs, material costs, and labor variances.
- Utilize PowerBI, Tagetik, and Qlik to create and maintain annual budget files and report on monthly performance against established goals.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of overall business operations and accounting experience, including 3 years in a higher-level management role.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong financial management and budgeting capabilities.
- Solid business acumen with the ability to understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of changes.
- Ability to interpret financial statements and related reporting to identify trends and improvement initiatives.
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing company serving multiple channels (retail stores, distribution, and end customers B2C) preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Advanced Excel skills; PowerBI experience preferred.
- Syteline ERP experience with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Highly organized with the ability to communicate clearly across all levels of the organization.
