Financial Consultant

Independent contractor Registered Financial Consultant at the Schwab Eden Prairie Branch delivering investment guidance, wealth planning, and client service to Schwab clients.

Responsibilities

• Support the Schwab Eden Prairie practice by assisting Benjamin Wels and other Financial Consultants in growing the book of business through a variety of activities.
• Deepen relationships with existing Schwab clients by providing exceptional service and tailored investment guidance aligned with client goals.
• Develop and maintain strong, personal client relationships.
• Deliver consistent, high-quality service and ensure an outstanding client experience for every engagement.
• Lead and facilitate comprehensive financial planning conversations with clients.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 to 3 years in the financial services industry in a registered role with responsibility for managing a client base.
• Proven ability to manage a sales or advisory pipeline.
• Proficient at discovery to uncover client needs and objectives.
• Retirement income planning expertise.
• Strong curiosity to understand client goals, aspirations, and concerns.
• Willingness to be coached and accept feedback.
• Financial services business development experience preferred.
• Series 7 license required.
• Series 66 license required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Client-first mentality.
• Experience addressing client concerns with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to manage multiple client situations simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to build and maintain cross-enterprise working relationships.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, MoneyGuidePro/Financial Planning Software, and Salesforce/CRM.
• Pass background check.
• English language proficiency required.
