Job Description
Delta Fabrication & Machine Inc is seeking a detail oriented Financial / Cost Control Analyst to support forecasting, analysis, reporting, and cost control, driving stronger budgeting and operational performance. This onsite role is based in Daingerfield, Texas, and requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience along with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Review financial statements, job costing, and invoicing processes to ensure accuracy
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Develop and maintain reporting for budgeting and forecasting purposes
- Collaborate with department leaders to evaluate financial profit and loss and implement cost controls
- Perform variance analyses comparing actual results to forecasts
- Analyze profitability by product, customer, or vendor
- Assist with pricing and revenue considerations
- Monitor costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets
- Track actual expenses against budgeted figures
- Produce regular cost reports for management review
- Review purchase orders, invoices, and expense reports for accuracy and compliance
- Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to identify discrepancies
- Assess pricing structures and supplier contracts for cost optimization
- Update cost projections in response to operational changes
- Support internal and external audits related to cost reporting
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 to 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related role
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and modeling
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
- High attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
