Financial Data Analyst

DSI Systems Inc. is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to join the on-site team in Urbandale, IA. This role collaborates with management and cross-functional partners on data tasks, reporting, and ad hoc requests to support decision-making and drive operational efficiency across the organization. The position carries a salary range of $40,000 to $50,000 per year and requires a BA/BS with at least two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Process dealer inquiries, interpret and investigate data by querying multiple vendor tables with SQL, and resolve dealer disputes promptly.
• Execute data collection, reporting, dealer payments, and vendor receivable reconciliation across multiple DSI programs.
• Analyze vendor data and ensure changes are applied to current vendor payment processes.
• Identify high-level data issues from vendors while collaborating with Sales at all levels.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports by gathering data from various accounting applications and formatting it for the intended audience.
• Provide admin-level support to other DSI departments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• BA/BS with 2+ years of experience in IT, finance, accounting, analytics, or related work.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, with 1+ years of experience handling large data sets.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence effectively across departments.
• The drive to understand core issues and a determination to uncover solutions.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Extremely detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Experience with MS SQL, MS SQL Reporting Services, MS Visual Basic, and Domo is a plus.
• Knowledge or experience in accounting or finance is a plus.
