Job Description

Lynch Consultants, LLC supports mission-focused work at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, helping advance financial improvement and audit remediation efforts for the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR) initiative. In this onsite role, you’ll help operationalize financial data automation, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled support to strengthen audit readiness.

What you’ll do

  • Support integration, transformation, validation, and analysis of Air Force financial and operational data from multiple sources.
  • Develop and maintain data analytics solutions, reports, dashboards, and visualizations aligned to FIAR and FM modernization objectives.
  • Create data cleansing processes, scripts, and repeatable workflows to improve data quality and reduce manual effort.
  • Assist with automation use cases that connect FM data sources and streamline business processes.
  • Support AI- and analytics-enabled solutions that improve audit readiness, traceability, and decision support.
  • Apply OCR capabilities and related technologies to extract and structure data from documents and other non-standard inputs.
  • Support the use of large language models and emerging AI/ML tools in operational environments, consistent with client direction and security constraints.
  • Prepare and present analytic findings, recommendations, and solution concepts to Government and contractor stakeholders, coordinating across technical and functional teams to support scalable, repeatable implementations.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, database support, reporting, automation, or related technical or business solution delivery.
  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to maintain eligibility.
  • Intermediate Python skills, including experience manipulating, cleansing, analyzing, or validating datasets.
  • Intermediate SQL skills, including experience querying, joining, transforming, and analyzing data from structured sources.
  • Intermediate Databricks experience or comparable work within modern enterprise data and analytics platforms.
  • Intermediate accounting knowledge, including the ability to understand and analyze financial transactions, balances, and related financial data.
  • Intermediate Substantive Analytical Procedures, including the ability to develop and execute data-driven procedures in support of financial statement audit or audit readiness activities.

Compensation and work schedule

Location: Dayton, OH (onsite), 5-days per week at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Pay rate: USD $57–$61 per hour (approximately $107,000–$114,000 per year, commensurate with experience).

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Department of the Air Force, or Federal financial management clients.
  • Familiarity with the Operational Air Force Financial Data Structure.
  • Familiarity with the Operational Air Force Data Dictionary.
  • Experience supporting FIAR, audit readiness, internal controls, or financial statement audit response efforts.
  • Experience with MS Power Application Automation.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud-enabled analytics, workflow automation, and enterprise data environments supporting financial operations.
  • Experience working across functional and technical teams to operationalize analytic and automation capabilities.
